The wellbeing program works across Centacare Evolve Housing and our partner agency St Joseph affordable homes to:

  • Increase the wellbeing of participants and employees.
  • Improve access and connection with relevant support services.
  • Increase awareness of mental health and well-being, ensuring that these important topics are openly discussed, destigmatised, and integrated into our organisational culture.

The wellbeing program uses the social impact framework to inform practice and guide development and decision making.

The social impact approach is a person-centred model inspired by Catholic Social Teaching which values the dignity and worth of each person, working in solidarity for the common good, and giving preferential focus to those most in need (SIP 2017).

The approach recognises the interconnectedness of society which impacts on individual, family, and community wellbeing.

It identifies seven such ‘domains’, including education, safety, spirituality, health, economics, housing, and community engagement.

Apprentice Support and Coaching

Build Up Tassie Apprentice Coaches work closely with apprentices and trainees to ensure they have every chance of success throughout their career. This includes but is not limited to ensuring they are meeting the requirements of their training, linking with wellbeing supports, and ensuring they are equipped to actively learn safely and effectively onsite.
